Unable to withstand the stress of kids running wild on an unsafe trampoline again, the day began with a blanket ban on any feet touching the bounce pad until everything was fully built and zippable! The girls didn't mind though as soon as they realised how much fun could be had crawling around underneath it.
Infact they were very happy on all fours, making worlds as various creatures, happy that is until Maisy Mad Dog McGeorge decided to turn trampoline crazy again! She began chasing them and leaping on them, stealing their garden toys and taunting in a scarily non-canine manner! Her dogtastic naughtiness turning the underside of the trampoline into a den of crazed screaming and sms meltdown within minutes! Mummy found herself in dirt trying to extract Tilly whilst also trying to retrieve chewed attention seeking toys. Mummy crawling and yelling only adding to the dog's glee and general Irish Terrierness!
It would seem my relaxing morning in the garden had ended! No wonder my kids thought the dog's real name was
'Bloody dog' for a long while! Kids now extracted from canine trampling threat, Tilly remained furious at the dogs reluctance to hand over her favourite ducky watering can. Try as i might i just couldn't get it and the dog was simply loving watching Mummy break sweat! I could feel sms building up again...bloody dog!
Then Poppy's finely tuned Irish Terrier training skills arrived on the scene, heralded by an uber confident 'Watch this mum I'll get it off her!' She then pretended to eat stones making 'ummmm delicious' noises, fooling the dog, who is utterly food obsessed and within seconds ducky was safe. Both girls then celebrated calm being restored by sitting in the dirt making faces at mummy and the camera...it would seem that trampoline madness is catching!

And the dog...well she sulked and reluctantly calmed down, but as always with that hint of naughty bubbling away behind those beautiful brown eyes of hers!
Ahhhh so garden calm restored and mummy then got an 'all's well with the world' wonderful cuddle with Tilly sitting in my lap, while Poppy climbed the bank to perform a medley of songs. Life can be really good sometimes, even if you are sitting in dirt!
And then just like that, Daddy announced it was all built! It was safe, enclosure up, you can all get on now! Songs came to a hasty halt and the moment had arrived, as immense as those first steps on the moon, we really should have had a fanfare or an audience of millions, at the very least a flag!

| The moment! |
A ladder scaled to explore a new world with wellies instead of space boots but
still one small step for man and lots of giant leaps for mankind! And boy what leaping...kids jumping, it makes their souls almost tangible, what an utter joy to watch!
As for the dog...she continued to leap vertically, (another Irish terrier trait) head appearing in comic fashion, desperate to join in and have us all watch her antics!
And so we have achieved touchdown with the biggest trampoline in the world! The kids are thrilled and they haven't even found out about the circus tent yet! Happy days.
